What is your body still holding?

More than you probably realise. And it's possible to change that.

That gap between knowing and actually changing is what brings most people here.

Hi, I'm Lauren!

A registered counsellor (Masters) and trauma-informed clinical hypnotherapist working with adults who find it hard to shift anxiety, stress, overwhelm and relationship patterns.

I offer online sessions, Australia-wide.

Is this for you?

Most people who find their way here are carrying something that they still can't quite shift. On the surface, things might look ok. But something underneath keeps surfacing. The same patterns emerging in different relationships, the same feelings and situations occur at work, the same reactions or triggers keep coming up, or they have a sense of not getting to where they want to be in life.

If you've ever felt like you can't seem to change something, despite everything you have tried before, this work is for you.

Ways to Work Together

How We Can Work Together:

Integrative Therapy & Counselling

A collaborative approach that combines counselling with somatic and subconscious work. Sessions are design to support long-term change at the nervous system level.

Aaruka® Therapy

A targeted subconscious and trauma-focused process, offered through the Aaruka Online Clinic. Designed to work deeply and efficiently, supporting past trauma and emotional regulation.

What to expect

The first session is either 60 (or 90 minutes if you prefer a longer session). Before you arrive, you'll have already shared a little bit about what's bringing you, so we don't spend time on paperwork or lengthy history taking. Instead we get straight to it, clarifying what's underneath and beginning the work from the very first session.

Most people leave feeling something has already shifted. Hopeful, more relaxed, and clearer on where they're heading.

What people experience

Change here tends to happen sooner than people expect. Some notice a shift from their very first session. For others, it unfolds across a series of appointments, rather than years of therapy.

One client reflected after four sessions, that she had made more progress in a short space of time than she had ever before. Others arrive because someone close to them, a sister, a friend, did this work and wanted the same for the people they love.

That kind of referral says something. People don't send their family to someone unless the results were real.

Sessions are paced around you. Some people come for a few sessions and find what they needed. Others prefer to continue work gradually overtime and as they need it. Either way, the work is shaped around where you are and where you want to go.

I combine these approaches,

helping you to

create lasting change.

Together we will:

Process old unhelpful beliefs and memories in the subconcious.

Incorporate body (somatic) work.

Clear emotions and stuck energy.

Work at a pace you feel comfortable with.

So that you can step towards a life that feels more balanced and joyful.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your counselling approach?

My counselling approach is grounded in a holistic understanding of mental health and wellbeing. Most of what is driving your stress, anxiety and emotional patterns isn't conscious. It lives in your nervous system, your memories and your core beliefs at an unconscious level. That's why I use methods that work with your whole self: mind, body, and subconscious, to help create real, lasting change.

This approach is also informed by evidence-based frameworks such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Why choose online therapy over in-person?

I offer online sessions via Zoom to enable people to access my services from any location.

Online offers the benefits of:

- being in your own comfortable space - avoiding the stress of driving to an appointment

- saving time

- accessibility for everyone

The impact of online therapy has been proven to be just as effective (if not more) as an in-person appointment.

However, if you prefer in-person and are local to Bayside Melbourne, I have a limited number of integrative counselling sessions available in clinic. Please contact me via email to discuss.

**The Online Trauma Clinic only offers sessions via Zoom at this time.

What is EFT tapping?

Clinical EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a highly effective evidence-based stress reduction technique. It uses a combination of cognitive therapy, whilst self-tapping on specific points on your body. Often just called ‘Tapping’ it can address a range of issues and has been proven to help with stress, anxiety, depression, pain and self-confidence.

What is Aaruka® Therapy?

Aaruka® is a therapy designed to overcome past trauma, break through subconscious beliefs about yourself, and set you on the path to a life you want to live. The word Aaruka means "finding paradise within".

In a session, you are guided into the theta brainwave through hypnosis. In this relaxed state the subconscious beliefs you hold about yourself are more accessible. We will have a conversation throughout the session to help clear the unhelpful patterns and install positive beliefs. We will work to clear trauma at the subconscious, memory, nervous system, and energetic levels.

It is an incredibly powerful method that may require between 1 - 5 sessions overtime, depending on your situation. Even just one session will begin to get you back towards the path you desire.

These healing sessions are up to 90 minutes duration and are booked with me directly through the Aaruka® Online Trauma Clinic.

How does hypnotherapy help?

Clinical hypnotherapy can assist to manage stress and anxiety by targeting thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to it. In a session we can work on integrating new strategies, making them more accessible in everyday life. After a session, clients often report feeling more relaxed and in control of their presenting problem.

How many sessions will I need?

This widely varies and is dependent on your individual circumstances. On average, clients book anywhere between 3 and 8 sessions. You may require less, or more. What matters is the level of permanent change you desire.

Most clients book a series of 3-5 sessions to begin with, assess their level of change, then come back for 'top-ups' or 'maintenance' when new things appear in life that they would like to work on.

Why not get started with your first session and see what changes can begin now?

What if I have more questions?

No problem! You can email me at [email protected] for a quick response (please allow up to 48 hours).

I also offer 10 minute introductory phone calls (Australia only) if you want to know more, via the booking page.

Am I eligible for a Medicare rebate?

As a registered counsellor, unfortunately I am not able to accept Mental Health Care Plans, and cannot provide Medicare rebates at this time.
