Hello, I’m Lauren, Registered Counsellor (Master's qualified), and with over 15 years experience as a teacher, I get it! I have witnessed staff crying between lessons due to overwhelm, Teachers & Ed Support staff leaving the profession due to burnout, and others in survival mode wishing it was the next holidays already.
I know exactly what daily pressure you might be going through.
With a focus on nervous system regulation and stress management, I have helped many people like you reduce stress, get unstuck, and regain control of their lives.
Each session is:

Counselling isn’t about "fixing you". It’s about supporting you to reconnect with who you already are and to step forward with your —underneath the stress, the pressure, and the daily grind.

2. Book your first session online. Choose between an online session via Zoom or an in-person session in Braeside, Victoria.
3. Fill out the intake form before your first session to save time in our first session.
4. Attend your first appointment and begin your journey to feeling and doing better.
You can expect a safe and supportive environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Each session will be tailored to whatever you want to work through. We will work together to identify goals and develop strategies to help you overcome challenges.
Our sessions will run for 50 minutes, each tailored to suit your needs. In a session we will use clinical EFT Tapping to help process difficult emotions. You will learn somatic nervous system balancing techniques. At the end of each session, you will leave with the expectation that you practise the tools you have learnt to ensure ongoing life success.
Clients often report feeling more relaxed and with renewed clarity after sessions.
I am trained in Clinical EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), also known as "tapping".
Clinical EFT is an evidence-based therapeutic technique that has significant research behind it, addressing a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety and trauma. It combines focused tapping on certain acupressure points whilst acknowledging specific emotions or issues. Tapping on these points aims to reduce emotional distress, alleviate physical discomfort, and promote a sense of emotional wellbeing.
It is one of my favourite modalities as it often gets clients lasting results fast.
As a qualified counsellor with a Master's degree in Counselling, and many years of experience in the education system, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to support you on your journey to ease your stress as a teacher or education staff member.
Additionally, my Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Strategic Psychotherapy, training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and certifications in Somatic Therapy Advanced Life Coaching, further enhances my ability to provide effective holistic support tailored to your needs. With a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, you can trust that you're in capable hands throughout our sessions together.
You will not only better understand your nervous system and your body's response to stress, but you will also be equipped with a toolkit of balancing techniques to continue using in your own time when you need them.
The goal is to help you not only 'feel better', but to 'do better' in your life. The outcome is in the actions you take.
Strategic psychotherapy is a form of therapy that focuses on the present and future, rather than the past. I aim to help my clients to identify and change problematic underlying patterns of behaviour, thoughts and emotions that have been holding them back from achieving specific goals in their life. I focus on how you do things, not why. By gaining this understanding of how, you can begin to make rapid changes.
My aim is that you ‘do’ better in life, not just ‘feel’ better. The power is in the action. A huge benefit of strategic psychotherapy is that it is a short-term and solution-focused form of therapy, with results generally seen within 3 to 10 sessions (depending on the individual client’s needs). Unlike other therapies, I intend on seeing you do better in life in a short period of time.
If you have been experiencing overwhelm, stress or anxiety in your life, you are open to holistic methods of healing and want to learn practical tools to help ease these sensations in your body, this approach is likely to have positive results for you.
Either! You can book an in-person session with me if the location of Braeside is convenient for you. However, evidence has shown that online therapy is equally as effective as in-person. If you prefer an online session, this will be done over Zoom. You will just need to make sure you have a quiet and private space for the duration of the session time. This could be from your home or even sitting in your car if you require extra privacy.
As a Registered Counsellor, I do not offer rebates through Medicare or Mental Health Care Plans. If you wish to use these services, please contact your GP for a psychologist referral.
