Hello, I’m Lauren, and I know how deeply trauma can shape our lives.

As a Registered Counsellor (Master of Counselling) and trained Aaruka® Therapist, I specialise in helping people not just understand their trauma, but clear the parts that the body and subconscious are still holding on to.

Alongside Aaruka® Therapy, I bring a extensive training in clinical hypnotherapy, EFT tapping, somatic therapy and coaching. My approach is gentle, trauma-informed and designed to help you feel safe while achieving deep transformation.

I’m here to help you move forward, not only with understanding, but with lasting change.

What Counts as 'Trauma'?

Trauma is not only about “big” events.

Trauma can be any experience your body and subconscious have not been able to fully process.

Even if your mind tells you “it wasn’t that bad”, your system may still be carrying the impact. This can show up as stress, anxiety, burnout, repeating patterns, or self-doubt.

You do not have to call it trauma for it to matter.

FAQs

What if I don't think I have trauma?

You do not need to identify with the word trauma. If you are experiencing stress, anxiety, emotional blocks, or repeating patterns, Aaruka Therapy can help.

Am I in control during the session?

Yes! Aaruka Therapy is collaborative. You will be fully aware, engaged and able to pause at any time.

Do I need to re-live my trauma?

Aaruka sessions work by releasing what your body and subconscious are holding onto. We may briefly visit memories to release their stored charge, but we use careful pacing, grounding and consent so that you remain in control throughout. In ALL of my sessions using Aaruka Therapy, past clients have said they leave the session feeling like a weight has been lifted off them.

How many sessions will I need?

Some clients experience significant shifts after one session. Others benefit from a series of sessions. You choose what feels right for you.

Why online?

Research shows online therapy is just as effective as in-person. Most clients find being in their own safe space helps them relax and go deeper.

What do I need for a session?

A quiet and private space.

Headphones.

Zoom.

Somewhere comfy to recline like your bed (recommended), a couch or chair. In your car is ok too!

What does a session look like?

First we will have a chat about what has been happening in your life and discuss what you would like to change.

Once we have some goals, I will ask you to get comfortable by either laying down on your bed, or reclining in a chair.

Next, I help to guide you into a deep but relaxed state where the subconscious mind is most open to healing.

We will continue to have a conversation throughout the session, working through all parts of the Aaruka method:

- Re-processing past memories.

- Removing unhelpful core beliefs.

- Releasing stuck energy in your body.

- Regulating your nervous system.

Whilst deeply relaxed, you are also fully aware throughout the process, and will remember it afterwards. All of my clients have reported to feel relaxed at the end of the session and many describe it as "a weight has been lifted".
